Orza Scuola Vela
I first ‘met’ Orza in Summer 2009, when I did 4 weeks of teaching as part of my practical training to be certified by FIV (Federazione Italiana Vela). After that experience I disappeared for 5 years, as I was studying for my Master and PhD.
I came back in summer 2017 and 2018 to work for the full season, from early April until the end of September. Orza has three ‘bases’: the original one on Lake Como, the ‘winter base’ in Fezzano and my favourite one in Portopollo. Here, surrounded by the amazing Sardinian landscape and nature, kids from 9 to 99 years old can spend an amazing vacation learning to sail, or improving their skills up to very proficient levels on technical dinghies.
